LA is terrifying.
For one thing, IT'S ON FIRE.
Rather the hills are on fire (not our hill, the ones across the valley). There's been no wind for days so the Valley is acting like a giant basin. The sky is all smokey and it's been raining ash since last night. It makes my eyes burn.
Also, this morning I woke up to my windows shaking. At the time I was convinced it was an earthquake, though I wouldn't put money on it now. Still I was pretty terrified for a good 6 minutes.
Jeez. Way to be in a Death-Zone, California.
I miss Ice storms. Canadian natural disasters are so much cozier and homey. (And can usually be solved with a spare generator and a bag of Kitty Litter)
In other news I lost another pair of underwear...As I haven't done laundry in weeks suspicion is now leaning towards the cleaning lady.

Elaine now leaves hers to dry in the bathroom...last time we had the apartment cleaned they had been re-arranged.
It's all very strange.
And disturbing.
